The Isle au Haut Company runs two boats that service the island, the Mink and the Miss Lizzie. Mink is the freight boat, although it does carry passengers when there is room enough, and having a more spacious cabin than the Miss Lizzie, serves as the winter mailboat. The scene here is a load of building materials being off-loaded with the aid of the hoist at the Isle au Haut town landing.
