Retired rowboats, dories and skiffs frequently find new life as small flower gardens on Isle au Haut (as well as elsewhere in Maine). This old skiff sits beside Ted Hoskins' winter house at Rich's Cove, which was originally Russ and Jean Devereux's Mountainside Market. When Russ and Jean closed the store, Ted bought it, cut it in half with a chainsaw, and moved to Rich's Cove where it was reassembled on the bluff overlooking the cove.
