This long-unused fisherman's shed stands on the northern shore of Rich's Cove. It was built in the 1930s or 1940s, I believe, by either Llewellyn Rich or Leon Small. It was last used in the 1970s by Maurice Barter, the last lobsterman to work out of Rich's Cove.
Rich's Cove was once a great center of activity (particularly fishing) on the island; it seems strange that no one fishes from here anymore.
